Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about treatments, timelines and cost at Beyond Stem Cells in Littleton, Colorado.
How long before I see results?
Most patients see visible change 3 to 4 months after treatment. Regenerating follicles, bone, tissue, cartilage and tendon takes that long, so results build gradually rather than appearing right away. Individual results vary.
How much do treatments cost?
Treatment packages run $1,000 to $5,000 depending on the procedure and what your individual treatment plan involves. We will give you a specific number after your consultation, not before.
What are exosomes and how do they work?
Exosomes are small vesicles that cells use to send instructions to other cells. They carry growth factors and signaling proteins. In a hair restoration treatment we deliver them into the scalp so follicles that have gone dormant get the signal to start producing again. The treatment is done in office, takes about an hour, and involves no surgery and no donor area.
What is FUE hair transplant surgery?
FUE stands for follicular unit extraction. Instead of removing a strip of scalp, we take individual follicular units, the natural groupings of one to four hairs, from a donor area at the back or sides of the head, and place them one at a time where hair has thinned. Because the follicles come out individually, FUE leaves small dot scars rather than one linear scar, and most patients can wear their hair short afterward.
Is it normal for transplanted hair to fall out?
Yes. Transplanted hair usually sheds in the first few weeks. That is expected and does not mean the graft failed. New growth from those follicles starts coming in around the 3 to 4 month mark and keeps filling in over the months after that.
Do eyebrow transplants need to be trimmed?
Yes. Because eyebrow transplant grafts come from scalp hair, they keep growing at scalp speed and need regular trimming. We map the shape with you before anything is harvested, since eyebrow position and arch drive how the whole face reads.
What is an exosome facial?
An exosome facial pairs microneedling with a topical exosome application. The microneedling creates controlled micro-channels in the skin, which triggers the skin’s own repair response and gives the exosomes a path below the surface. The session takes about 45 minutes and most people are pink for a day or two afterward.
What conditions do you treat besides hair loss?
Alongside hair restoration we treat joint and orthopedic conditions including knee, shoulder, hip, elbow, neck, hand and wrist pain, arthritis, back pain and sports injuries. We also offer peptide therapy, weight management, IV therapy and aesthetic treatments.
Do I need a referral to be seen?
