No stem cell product is FDA-approved for hip osteoarthritis. Legitimate US clinics operate under the 361 HCT/P exemption, which permits use of your own tissue when it is minimally manipulated and used for a homologous purpose. That is the framework we work within.
The evidence base is still developing. Published studies are mostly small with relatively short follow-up. Major orthopaedic guideline bodies do not currently recommend regenerative injections as standard first-line care for hip osteoarthritis. PRP has a somewhat stronger evidence base than cell-based therapy, though results still vary.

It is often not the right choice when cartilage loss is advanced with bone-on-bone contact, where hip replacement may be more appropriate; when there is an active joint infection; when the hip is structurally unstable in a way that needs surgical repair; when you have not yet tried physical therapy; or when you are looking for a guaranteed outcome.

Hip osteoarthritis is a degenerative condition that causes gradual joint damage. It is one of the most common types of arthritis caused due to the wear & tear and breakdown of the hip cartilage leading to inflammation and severe pain. Statistics show that the global hip osteoarthritis incidence increased by 115.4 percent between 1990 and 2019.
The condition may affect some people faster because of the irregular bone shape that forms the hip joint. For instance, if the sockets and the hip joint ball don’t fit together perfectly, it causes friction leading to osteoarthritis.
